Get the inside track with Dunlop

Dunlop have launched a new TV magazine that will feature all the very latest news in motorsport. Inside Racing offers fascinating insights from a range of motorsports race series including in-depth information, exclusive material plus celebrity and lifestyle features.

Unlike other racing programs Inside Racing benefits from the Dunlop name in motorsport, which means the show’s producers have an incredible amount of access to the world’s fastest tracks as well as exclusive interviews with the most skillful drivers on the planet. Viewers can expect to see teams and drivers of race series such as DTM, ALMS and MotoGP.

The show is produced fortnightly and also encourages viewer participation, which can be seen on the program’s YouTube presence: http://www.youtube.com/dunlopinsideracing. Also, for more fans of more extreme motoring, the Dunlop Challenges channel features stunt driving such as Loop the Loop, J-turns and jumps: http://www.youtube.com/DunlopChallenges.

One of the latest pieces of footage incredibly demonstrates the manoeuvrability of 3 cars when kitted out with the SP Street Response tyres. In the video, the stunt coordinator even reveals they had to slightly over-inflate the tyres as the grip was too good to perform the skids required for the stunt!

With plenty of insight into competition racing as well as stunts and other features, Inside Racing looks to be a great source for petrolheads and motorsports fans alike.

Car Odors

By admin Posted in Car Maintenance / No Comments »

The musk in your car can come from anything, and doesn’t always have to be whatever your kid spilled in the back seat last week, it can be a growing odor that builds and builds after several weeks. The most important thing is to find the source of the stench and clean it as soon as possible, don’t leave it for the next day. If it works its way into your carpeting, you could pay hundreds having it torn out and replaced because it has gotten under the upholstery and seeped somewhere that cannot be cleaned. Milk in particular can seep down to the floor boards, and only a professional can clean it up. Keep a towel handy just in case there is a spill so you can dry it up as soon as possible.

One story tells about a woman who left a whole chicken in the trunk of her car, and it was left to bake there for a week while she was away. She had to have the carpeting removed to get to where it had leaked. Often the smell is caused by bacteria, from food or other organic items that can be rotting. Some are simply obvious, such as cigarette musk that can work its way into your upholstery and never really smell clean.
