Boxers and Cars

By admin Posted in Luxury Cars / No Comments »

Madison Square Garden in New York will be the scene of the Boxing Super Welterweight WBA World Championship between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito on the 3rd of December 2011.  In anticipation of this, let us have a look at boxers and cars.

Cotto is mainly known for having accidents in cars, and Margarito is generally associated with classical cars (his manager is a big fan) and driving, wait for it, a pickup truck.  This is in stark contrast to some of the other boxers that are out there at the moment.

Ricky Hatton, for example, also known as The Hitman, drives a monster of a car in the form of a BMW X5, which is a real beast.  However, as a true Brit, he is of course a fan of the series Only Fools and Horses and hence also owns a three wheeled Robin Reliant Regal, just like the one in the epic comedy show.  Floyd Mayweather is someone who really likes his cars and doesn’t mind spending a considerable amount of money on them.  He owns both a Rolls Royce Phantom and a Ferrari 360.  Another example is Joe Calzaghe, from Wales, who has recently sold both of his cars, a Mercedes SL350 and a BMW M3.

Chris Eubank, one of the best known boxers ever, likes unique and different cars and is known to have owned a Hummer H2 as well as an American Peterbilt 379 – one of those truck cabs.  Lennox Lewis, the biggest boxer to ever have come out of the United Kingdom, owned one of the most luxurious cars on the market: the Bentley Azure Mulliner as well as an exclusive version of the Austin Martin Virage.

As you can see, boxers like their cars but they all have very different tastes. Cotto and Margarito will have a chance to complete their garage after they get a payout for Saturday’s fight. Watch Cotto vs Margarito live and enjoy the show!

The basics of the V8 Supercars racesC

By admin Posted in Car Racing / No Comments »

Australia is a country known for adrenaline. Its animals, people and sports revolve around the thrill of survival and the anguish of dangerous defeat. The V8 Supercars lives up to this tradition by providing some of the best racing excitement the world has ever seen.

What is V8 Supercars?

The V8 Supercars is an Australian-based car race that tours the world with its drivers and competitions. The event is an official FIA International Series that follows said governing body’s rules, specifications and codes of conduct. V8 Supercars, although based out of Australia, is an international sporting event that is gaining prominence around the world, even in regions where racing is traditionally unpopular. The event boasts large viewership in its home country, as well as in New Zealand and Europe. With increased knowledge and consistent television coverage, V8 Supercars may very well reach the levels of notoriety reserved for more well-known races.

What cars are driven in the V8 Supercars?

Unlike NASCAR, with its stock cars, or Formula One, with its open-wheel cars, V8 Supercars utilizes a cooler, more retro vehicle: The Ford Falcon and the Holden Commodore. Both the Falcon and the Commodore are produced in Australia, and have dedicated followings on both the racetrack and the road. Since the 1960s, the Ford Falcon and the Holden Commodore have amassed combined sales of more than five million. However, once introduced to the world of V8 Supercars, these vehicles undergo a serious transformation. While on the outside they may still resemble the everyday version available to non-racers, these cars are completely changed on the inside. Their motorsport application demands that they accelerate, decelerate and handle corners better than the ones sold on lots. It is importnat to say that V8 Supercars have an amazing top speed of 190 miles per hour.

Where does V8 Supercars take place?

Australia is the home base of V8 Supercars. The event is held in all its states, with major rounds drawing casual and zealous fans alike. Neighboring New Zealand and Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, play host to many of the overseas rounds. The races are held on both specially-built courses and common street circuits. But no matter the venue, the vehicles and drivers are ready to race, and to win. With classy vehicles, aggressive drivers and the universal attraction of speed, V8 Supercars becomes popular in any territory it visits, routinely drawing hundreds of thousands of spectators.

How can I sell my car?

Can I test drive the cheap automatic cars before buying it?

You have the right to test drive the car that you want to buy and decide whether that will be the right car that you want to buy. This will give you the opportunity to find out if there’s any major problem with the vehicle. You can even have your mechanic check the car for you so you’ll have the peace of mind that you are buying the perfect vehicle for you.

Being the seller of a certain vehicle, you have the right to choose who you want to sell the car to because you have multiple offers. If you are only working on a couple of offers, try to wait for a couple more offers before you decide who the right buyer is for you.

Here’s a new way of selling your car, less headache and less stress. Cash for cars are the best people to talk to when you need to sell any of your vehicles. They can give you the best price for your vehicle. You can negotiate with out dealing with any of those strangers going into your place to check the car you are selling. You will only deal with one of their professional employees who will inspect your vehicle for their evaluation.

There are some great car games coming out on the market. Some of the top games include Forza 4 and Gran Tursimo 5. There are a few differences between the games that might influence a buyer’s choice.

The graphics usually determine whether a person buys a game and rightfully so. Both games have outstanding graphics that truly display the state of the art gaming experience. Gran Turismo offers a more sleeker and smoother look to their cars than Forza. This makes the game feel like a real car driving experience and adds depth to the game.

The graphics though in Forza are really consistent as far as its backgrounds so it’s hard to pick a clear cut winner in the graphics department. They both have advantages and showcase some realistic graphics. Another x factor in determining a great game is the music soundtrack. This is often overlooked, but it adds to the experience of the game.

Forza 4 definitely wins the music debate because all of their tracks are excellent; you get the experience of a high paced action game and the music conveys this. Gran Turismo has too much slow paced music such a jazz that can really bore the gamer. Another key in determining a great racer is the car selection.

Gran Turismo 5 offers more cars than Forza 4. This may be good to some, but quantity is not always better than quality. This is so because Forza 4 has a better selection of cars ranging from the brands of Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, etc. When you play a great car racing game you want to have the options of having the best cars on the market. You don’t want to choose a Toyota or Nissan because these cars are not fantasy cars. Forza 4 picks up on this and offers cars that you wouldn’t see every day driving down the block.

In conclusion both games have their advantages and disadvantages. The debate is subjective and not everyone is going to like the same game. Overall in my opinion I would say that the game-play of Gran Turismo 5 is better and offers a more realistic experience, but both games are excellent car games.

Family Fleet Insurance May Be Your Best Bet

By admin Posted in Car Insurance / No Comments »

When your family has a number of automobiles, you might be able to save money on insurance by looking at family fleet insurance. The number of vehicles you can insure under fleet insurance is considerably higher than with normal family auto insurance plans. Many companies allow several hundred vehicles under an umbrella family fleet policy, which safeguards your investments and protects you financially from liability. Whether you have numerous drivers in your home or you’re a collector, fleet insurance can be the best way to approach protecting your property most effectively.

Having a fleet policy helps guarantee that the premiums for all your vehicles stay current. Most of the time you’ll deal with just one agent who can take care of all the details associated with your fleet. If you collect cars, the insurer may take into account that you can only drive one vehicle at a time, which can lower the overall cost of insuring the collection. You may also qualify for lower mileage discounts, since you are not likely to put many miles on the cars. If you have multiple drivers in your household, you might still qualify for low mileage discounts when the cars are not frequently driven or for long distances.
