The chairman of Ford of Britain Joe Greenwell said after the award was received “the 64mpg Ford Focus 1.6 diesel was What Car?’s green car of the year two years ago and to be a winner again in 2010 is testimony to the car continuing to be a leader in its class for fuel economy and CO2 emissions”.

The Focus continues to be a popular choice for customers with this particular award winning model selling 16, 300 units since it was first launched. This makes up 30% of the total Ford Focus Style sales.
